The SHYIELD disinfectant product family

Commercial cannabis sanitation

SHYIELD protects the yield behind every room.

Health Canada-registered disinfectants created for the realities of cannabis facilities—fast contact times, one-step cleaning and disinfection, and a safer in-use experience for the people doing the work.

Why operators switch

Stop choosing between efficacy, speed and the people using the product.

Traditional sanitation chemistry can create extra cleaning steps, long wet-contact requirements, residue management or occupational concerns. SHYIELD is powered by Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide® technology and is designed to balance germicidal efficacy, cleaning performance and application safety.

Product claims and requirements vary. Always follow the current Canadian label and SDS for the exact SHYIELD format, dilution and intended use.

01

Fast, realistic contact times

Three minutes for RTU and wipes; five minutes for concentrate, depending on the labelled claim.

02

Real cleaning ability

Built-in detergency helps remove soil while disinfecting. Heavily soiled or resin-coated surfaces still require appropriate pre-cleaning.

03

Gentler in use

At ready-to-use or properly diluted concentration, manufacturer guidance states PPE is not required in use. Concentrate handling requires label and SDS precautions.

04

Environmental integrity

The active ingredient is biodegradable and breaks down into water and oxygen.

Compare the operating reality

The active ingredient is only part of the decision.

A useful comparison looks at the registered product, cleaning ability, contact time, surface compatibility, staff workflow and label—not chemistry alone.

A product is not a program

Build sanitation that crews can execute and QA can verify.

Growhaus helps translate the product label into a facility-specific workflow—from risk mapping and application tools to training, dilution checks and verification.

  1. 01

    Map the risk

Separate high-risk production and product-contact areas from lower-risk administrative spaces. Identify soil, pathogens and transmission routes.

  2. 02

    Standardize the task

Define the product, dilution, application tool, coverage, wet contact time, rinse requirement and responsible role.

  3. 03

    Make the process measurable

Use dilution controls, AHP® indicator strips, sanitation logs, visual inspection and appropriate verification methods.

  4. 04

    Train, observe and improve

Confirm that the procedure works under real production pressure, then revise the SOP when equipment, rooms or staffing change.

Frequently asked questions

What cultivation and QA teams ask us most.

Talk through your challenge with us →
Is SHYIELD registered by Health Canada for cannabis facilities?

Yes. The SHYIELD family carries Health Canada Drug Identification Numbers and product labels with directions relevant to cannabis-facility sanitation. Confirm the exact DIN, claim and use direction on the current label for the format you select.

Can SHYIELD clean and disinfect in one step?

Yes, when the surface and soil conditions meet the label directions. Remove gross soil first. Heavy resin, oils or accumulated organic material may require dedicated pre-cleaning before disinfection.

How long must the surface stay wet?

RTU and wipes have three-minute contact times; concentrate has a five-minute contact time for its registered disinfection uses. The surface must remain visibly wet for the full labelled time.

Does SHYIELD require PPE?

Manufacturer guidance states PPE is not required while using ready-to-use SHYIELD or correctly diluted concentrate. Undiluted concentrate requires the precautions stated in its SDS, including appropriate eye and hand protection. Your facility assessment and current label always govern.

Which SHYIELD format should our facility use?

Concentrate is usually the operational choice for room turnover and large areas. RTU suits targeted equipment and frequent touchpoints. Wipes simplify smaller tools and high-touch surfaces. Many facilities use all three within one standardized program.

How do we verify the concentrate is diluted correctly?

Use a calibrated dispensing method and AHP® indicator strips designed for the 1:40 and 1:128 dilutions. Record results as part of the sanitation log and investigate repeated misses.

Can Growhaus help us implement SHYIELD?

Yes. We can help select formats, plan dispensing and application equipment, support SOP development, train teams and define practical verification steps around your facility workflow.
